If you are eligible:
- You will be placed in a pool with others who are also eligible and give you a score
- You will be then ranked using several factors, and
- If you are one of the top candidates, you will be invited to apply to be a permanent resident of Canada.
If someone is invited to apply, they will have 60 days to submit their application for permanent residence. The majority of the applications will be completed (meaning those with all the necessary supporting documents) in six months or less.
Every month Canada gives the selection to an average of 3000 top-ranked candidates from this pool who can then apply for Canadian permanent residence.
